This Author Agreement Summary outlines the general terms under which NewSky Publishing ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") may work with authors, contributors, and clients. This page is for informational purposes only and does not replace a formal written agreement, which may be required for specific projects.

By submitting content or engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the principles described below.

1. Ownership of Work

Authors retain ownership of their original work unless otherwise agreed in writing. However, by engaging our services or entering into a publishing agreement, authors may grant NewSky Publishing certain rights to edit, publish, distribute, and promote the work.

Ownership and rights may vary depending on the specific agreement, including traditional publishing, self-publishing support, or work-for-hire arrangements.

2. Grant of Rights

Authors may grant NewSky Publishing a non-exclusive or exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the submitted work in various formats, including print, digital, and online platforms.

The scope, duration, and territory of such rights will be defined in a separate written agreement when applicable.

3. Author Representations and Warranties

By submitting content, authors represent and warrant that:

Authors are solely responsible for any claims arising from their submitted content.

4. Editorial Rights

NewSky Publishing reserves the right to edit, format, adapt, or modify submitted content for quality, clarity, formatting, and compliance purposes. We may also reject or request revisions to submitted materials at our discretion.

We are not obligated to publish any submitted work.

5. Compensation and Royalties

Compensation structures, including royalties or fees, will be defined in a separate written agreement where applicable. Not all projects involve royalties, particularly in service-based or work-for-hire arrangements.

We do not guarantee any level of sales, revenue, or financial success.

6. Work-for-Hire Arrangements

In certain cases, services may be provided under a work-for-hire agreement, in which ownership of the final work is transferred to the client upon completion and full payment.

Such arrangements will be clearly defined in a separate written agreement.

7. Submission and Review Process

Submission of a manuscript or content does not guarantee acceptance, review, or publication. We reserve the right to accept or reject submissions at our sole discretion.

We are not responsible for unsolicited submissions or delays in review.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate a working relationship in accordance with the terms outlined in a separate agreement. Upon termination, any granted rights may cease as specified in that agreement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NewSky Publishing shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use, publication, distribution, or performance of any submitted work.

This includes, but is not limited to, loss of revenue, reputational harm, or third-party claims.

10. Indemnification

Authors agree to indemnify and hold harmless NewSky Publishing from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from submitted content, including intellectual property disputes or legal violations.

11. No Guarantee of Results

NewSky Publishing does not guarantee publication outcomes, distribution success, or commercial performance. Results may vary based on numerous external factors.

12. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
